Thursday Tidbits

I Have been strong armed tagged by OhCaptain at Life and Thoughts of a Midwest Geek into doing this meme. I innocently went to read his blog, as I do daily, and BAM! I was ambushed. I fell right into his trap. Because I fear of his big brother tactics, I have complied and took the Which Sports Car are you? Quiz. I am one fine machine!

I'm a Lamborghini Murcielago!

You're not subtle, but you don't want to be. Fast, loud, and dramatic, you want people to notice you, and then get out of the way. In a world full of sheep, you're a raging bull.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz. I won't bully anyone into this, but it was kind of cute. So, if you have no better way to waste time or procrastinate, Take it, post it, and link me up!

The next tidbit I have for you is that the other day when The Microbiologist came to visit, she also brought with her a couple of bottles of her dad's home brewed beer. Suffice it to say that I could use a chest wax after drinking that stuff. I don't know what the proofage is, but grain alcohol has nothing on this stuff!

Having just had my nails and toes done in style, it was time for a cut and color. So yesterday, I headed into by neighbors basement and completed the makeover. I chopped about 4 inches off and got a completely new style. All the gray has magically disappeared and I went in the wayback machine about 10 years. Mr. Weasel loves it, and was happy that it didn't look like the 'suburban helmet'. Picture to come.

And now that I am looking so fly, I got 'Blogged by Terri', of Terri, Terri Quite Contrary fame. I hope that this is not just a fling with a groupie for her. I'm not that kind of girl, but after a few of MicroBiologist's home brews, I could be!

Today's final tidbit is that I want to encourage you all to become regular clickers at these two blogs if you aren't already (Being Michael's Daddy and Big Bad Daddy Rant). Here are 2 guys who are great reads, nice people and don't get nearly the attention or readership they deserve. While you are at it, click OhCaptain too and leave him cookies and a nap in his comments. He gets cranky when his blood sugar drops midafternoon(think pre-school) when he doesn't get enough ego stroking, hehehehehe,(just teasing Captain) So click away and tell them I sent you.

Update on the Ad Clicking Campaign: You all have clicked to the tune of $197.15 to Feed the Weasels this Christmas! Thanks for the clicks and keep 'em coming!

I'm a Honda S2000 - RED! "You live on the edge, and you live for the adrenaline rush. You don't need luxuries, snob appeal, or superfluous gadgets. You put your top down, get your motor revving, and take all the curves that life throws at you at full speed. So what if you spin out occasionally?"

Ok, and for the record, I answered the question about going topless in the summer.... negative!!!

Glad you got your t-shirt! I almost forgot!

I'm a Porsche 911, it says "You have a classic style, but you're up-to-date with the latest technology. You're ambitious, competitive, and you love to win. Performance, precision, and prestige - you're one of the elite, and you know it."

But I am truly a MUSTANG fan.

I have home made brew in process and will report.

Came here through Terri - will put you on my blogroll.

I found out the OhCaptain and I are twins. Or at least we seem to be the same car. I hope I don't get in trouble with it being an import model. Don't tell the Big Three...

AutoSysGene said...

Heehee! If you like the beer, let me tell you about my fil's homemade wine. Who knew you could make wine 150 proof....

Michelle said...

Ok, so um sex and a canoe and light beer, what? I need you to give more details on that one for me!

You did drink much more of the homebrewed beer than I thought you were going to -- although I was wrong when I was sure you were going to chug the second beer!

Mike said...

Finally got to see the video. OMG your face when you first tasted the homemade beer. It was priceless. Nice job...

OhCaptain said...

Never underestimate the power of the geeks! (hehe)

Loved the beer review. I'm a bit of a beer snob in that I always order the beer I've never heard of...but my tastes tend to lean to small Midwestern breweries.

Congrats on the honor! And thanks for the linky love!

First off THANK YOU WEASELMOMA! for the linky love! I love the smell of New Comments in the morning! I took the car quiz and apparently I'm a Corvette. But the one they show is one of the newer lame-ass "Vettes. If I'm going to be a "Vette it would be more like this one or maybe this one A little more classic, with an edge.

So yesterday in the PC I visited you on didn't display the video of the tasting. I am probably like Mr. Weasel as I like the darker beers and Coors to me is mouthwash. BUT I wish to point out that the real way to taste a beer is to pour it into a frosty mug, let the head rise and breathe in the beer as you drink it. Thats what we do at Oscars tavern. Will be looking for Take #2 of the tasting! Your blog is fun! Have weasely day.

WeaselMomma said...

@ Oscar ~ Most regulars around here would be expecting me to be drinking from a brown paper bag, so I classed it up a bit. You are so right about how to properly serve and enjoy. I would love to come to Oscars Tavern. I am so glad to here you are having fun here, that's what I aim for. Stay tuned as I am going to v-blog a whole series on holiday libations.

Love the new 'Do! I don't need the quiz to tell me that I'm a Mini Van all the way!(I may try it later for fun!)

Laura said...

I love your new 'do, but omg are you more foofoo than I recall!! :) Loved the whole video, esp. seeing a little weasel wander in at the end...so true to life! love the canoe joke! i didn't do the car quiz, but we just got a new routan, & i'm dubbing that my alter-ego...being perpetually pg and all! Seriously, I do love your hair!!

OK so I somehow managed to miss this post all this time! I LOVE the video, reminds me of the soy protein drink one I made. I already knew the beer was strong, both in flavor and ethanol content, without trying it since I know my daddy, lol. I think that the bottles I brought you were made with regular brewer's yeast, and I estimate it is around 10-15% ethanol (20-30 proof). Not sure about light beer but Dad's brew uses the same basic ingredients as regular beer, the stuff you get in the store is purposely made with a lot less ethanol and generally is less concentrated than his.

The bottles are actually 16oz diet coke bottles. My ex drinks it like water and I noticed they were about the size Daddy wanted since my idiot sister (middle sister not Cheryl) gets huge bottles of pepsi and he wanted smaller. Daddy likes the bottles and thankfully the ex gave me a whole bunch of them for him. I think Dad told me he e-mailed coke and they refused to sell their bottles to him, something about not wanting their product associated with an alcoholic beverage, hehe.

I am not sure if I have all the right contacts/power but I was contemplating seeing if someone here could analyze his beer to see some of what is in it, like how much ethanol. I've been a bit too busy and the profs I work with/around have been too, especially lately since it is the end of the semester. I think I'll bring a bottle back with me in case I can con someone into playing with us next semester.

I'm going to link Daddy, I think he will love the vid and Mr. Weasel's thumbs up. He'll take your finding it rather strong (understatement) as a testament to its greatness, hehe.

I linked this post to Niecey and she spotted Smallest Weasel and got so excited, that is when she demanded that we invite ourselves over again. Daddy was amused by the video, he wanted me to tell you that "real" beer drinkers drink beer and piss light beer (think I got that right), he is such a beer snob!
